Role Summary

The Account Director (AD) is responsible for managing a portfolio of high-value clients, acting as Liberty’s primary commercial contact and trusted advisor. The role combines strategic insight, commercial rigour, and relationship management to deliver measurable growth, retention, and client satisfaction.

Account Directors set the standard for Liberty’s client partnerships by leading high-quality monthly meetings and QSRs, maintaining accurate commercial forecasting, identifying upsell opportunities, and ensuring every engagement delivers value for both the client and the agency. They work closely with the Delivery Team to ensure client objectives, execution, and commercial outcomes are tightly aligned.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of high-value clients, ensuring retention, growth, and satisfaction
  • Leading strategic planning and campaign direction, ensuring delivery aligns with client goals and commercial outcomes
  • Conducting monthly client meetings, QSRs, renewal discussions, and commercial forecasting
  • Building strong, trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders
  • Identifying, shaping, and converting upsell and cross-sell opportunities, primarily within existing accounts
  • Reporting accurately on revenue forecasts, renewal confidence, churn risk, and margin performance
  • Ensuring quality and consistency across proposals, QSR decks, and reporting outputs
  • Supporting inbound new business opportunities through briefing calls, pitch contribution, and opportunity shaping (ownership agreed based on capacity and fit)
  • Collaborating closely with the Delivery Team to ensure work meets agreed strategic and commercial standards
