THE·TEAM is looking for an Associate Director, Business Development with experience and passion for global sponsorship, experiential and content creation within the sport, music and entertainment space.

This is a key role within the Business Development team, supporting and leading pitch responses for new and existing client opportunities. The role will help shape the agency’s response to briefs, engage specialist teams, manage inputs and ensure THE·TEAM is represented with clarity, quality and impact.

The successful candidate will be comfortable operating across both pitch leadership and hands-on delivery, bringing structure, momentum and strong judgement to fast-moving opportunities.

What you will be doing

  • Lead RFI responses and selected pitch workstreams, sourcing relevant credentials, case studies and supporting information for new opportunities.
  • Lead and support on new business opportunities, engaging and briefing service areas and international markets where required.
  • Lead and support on existing client responses, helping to drive new or incremental business across THE·TEAM.
  • Help shape clear, compelling written and presented responses that answer the brief and reflect the current market context.
  • Work with senior Business Development and Operations leads to track pitch activity, win-rate data and learnings to help inform where resources are best used.
  • Ensure ‘How to Win’ and ‘Post-Pitch Wrap’ sessions are scheduled and completed in a timely manner, capturing and distilling relevant information and learnings.
  • Drive best-in-class pitch processes, maintaining consistent use of available tools and ensuring THE·TEAM pitch materials are delivered to an industry-leading standard.
  • Contributing to a global BD team across THE·TEAM, working closely with colleagues in the US, APAC and EMEA.

You will be responsible for

  • Maintaining high standards across RFI responses, credentials, case studies and pitch materials.
  • Building strong relationships with teams across THE·TEAM, including specialist service areas and international markets where required.
  • Coordinating resource, timelines and deliverables across multiple contributors to support efficient and high-quality responses.
  • Making sure issues are escalated early so they can be resolved and ensuring relevant stakeholders are up to date on response progress, risks and next steps.
  • Contributing as an essential part of the Business Development team, helping to improve process, consistency and quality across pitches and responses.

The Skills And Experience You Need

  • 6+ years’ experience in sports and entertainment marketing, brand marketing, business development, account management or a demonstrable marketing background.
  • Commercial and business development experience, with experience contributing to successful pitch teams, particularly within sponsorships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to shape clear and compelling responses.
  • Strong deadline and timeline management, with an aptitude for project management and multitasking across multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Google Drive, Zoom, PowerPoint, Keynote or project management tools.
  • Confidence working with cross-functional teams, including contributors who may work remotely.
