Account Director / Business Development Manager

Do you have experience driving new business growth within promotional merchandise, branded products or B2B marketing or advertising services?

Location: Kingston with limited on-site parking

Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 plus excellent benefits including bonus (typically 5% to 10%), 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, 5% pension, cash plan, life assurance and modern collaborative office facilities.

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working available with 2 days in the office and flexibility around working arrangements.

A rare opportunity for a proactive and driven sales manager to an international team, playing a key role in their sales function to grow business and provide solutions for the world's most forward-thinking companies.

Ideal candidate will have strong drive, entrepreneurial spirit and determination. You will maximise product sales opportunities and profitability, focusing primarily on existing clients & incoming leads.

In addition, the role will require business development, converting new leads, researching and addressing opportunities, and ensuring growth within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed revenue and margin targets across your portfolio of accounts.
  • Generate and convert new business opportunities through inbound leads, networking, referrals, prospecting, and market research.
  • Develop strategic account plans to maximise growth within existing clients while identifying opportunities to win new business.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across marketing, procurement, HR, events, and other business functions.
  • Understand clients' business objectives, marketing strategies, procurement processes, and brand requirements to proactively deliver relevant merchandise and promotional solutions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years' B2B sales experience, ideally within promotional merchandise, branded products, marketing services, events, or a related sector.
  • Proven track record of winning and developing new business opportunities.
  • Experience managing and growing key client accounts.
  • Strong consultative and strategic selling skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Strong forecasting, planning, and organisational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems (Salesforce experience advantageous).
