Account Director, Client Solutions
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Account Director, Client Solutions based in United Kingdom.
As an Account Director, Client Solutions, you will own a portfolio of strategic client relationships from discovery through delivery, renewal, and expansion. You’ll serve as the senior commercial and strategic point of contact for executive stakeholders, helping clients turn customer data into measurable revenue growth. The role combines consulting, account leadership, commercial ownership, and project direction without requiring you to be the hands-on technical builder. You’ll work closely with architects, engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are scoped, delivered, and aligned with business objectives. With clients across Europe and North America, you’ll operate in a diverse environment spanning multiple industries, technologies, and regulatory contexts. This is a high-ownership opportunity for an experienced client leader who can connect strategy, technology, and commercial outcomes.
Accountabilities
- Own the executive-level relationship across a portfolio of clients, acting as the primary strategic contact for senior marketing and growth stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain a strong client cadence through biweekly meetings, monthly roadmap and statement-of-work reviews, and quarterly business reviews covering results, priorities, risks, and future opportunities.
- Keep clients proactively informed about progress, budgets, timelines, risks, and decisions, ensuring there are no unexpected developments.
- Identify revenue opportunities across acquisition, conversion, and retention, connecting each challenge to the relevant customer pain, metric, business impact, and potential solution.
- Build and defend growth roadmaps collaboratively with clients, using measurement frameworks, KPI definitions, funnel and cohort analysis, lifecycle strategies, experimentation roadmaps, and performance readouts.
- Translate technical decisions and recommendations into clear business implications that executive stakeholders can understand and act upon.
- Scope projects and translate client requirements into sufficiently detailed briefs for architects and engineers, while remaining accountable for the quality and business relevance of the final outcome.
- Lead project execution through sprint cadence, board management, dependencies, risks, timelines, and critical-path oversight rather than performing the technical implementation yourself.
- Review completed work against agreed client objectives before delivery and ensure commitments are fulfilled to the expected standard.
- Run pre-sales discovery, qualify opportunities, develop proposals, and present scope, phasing, investment, and business cases directly to prospective clients.
- Partner with Sales throughout qualification, discovery, and closing before taking ownership of the account during delivery.
- Price and scope technical work with profitability and delivery feasibility in mind.
- Own retention and expansion across your portfolio, ensuring scope changes are estimated, documented, and approved before work begins.
- Maintain a six-month forward roadmap so future engagements can be planned and contracted before existing scopes come to an end.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
