The Opportunity

We're looking for an Account Director to join the Flywheel Content Studio team. The Account Director for Digital Shelf Content is a strategic leadership role that combines client account management, digital shelf content expertise, and commerce strategy execution. This position serves as a primary point of contact for key accounts and will oversee a team to ensure retailer digital shelf content is delivered on brief, on time, and on budget while driving thought leadership and strategic commerce activations. This role reports directly to the VP, Content Studio and will play a lead role in cross-functional team integration across copy, design, project management, media, and broader inter-agency partnerships to deliver full funnel commerce campaigns.

We're seeking an experienced Account Director who will lead clients through complex digital commerce initiatives, shepherd content projects from conception through execution and serve as a trusted strategic advisor. This role combines operational oversight, client service, financial management, thought leadership, and will oversee a small team. The role requires expertise in retailer digital shelf content, commerce strategy, and content optimization across major retail platforms, specifically Amazon.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to shepherd clients and team members through the content process, from brief, to creative reviews, to final execution by ensuring the team prepares and leads client status, prepares and meets accurate timelines, manages prioritizations, and is a lead in proactive planning for key initiatives.
  • Manage client interactions in a manner that establishes credibility and trust as a business advisor, and be the subject matter expert by understanding content marketing best practices and staying abreast of digital trends to assist your clients in meeting their marketing and content strategy goals.
  • Establish credibility and trust by demonstrating deep knowledge of content marketing by assessing the role of content in broader ecommerce, retail marketing, and overarching digital trends and commerce strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating interpersonal savvy and ability to connect across all organizational levels.
  • Understand content studio offerings to ensure we deliver to meet client requests while also looking at content needs holistically, identifying opportunities to steward Flywheel content offerings and finding the right solutions to meet client needs.
  • Stay ahead of digital trends, generative AI search capabilities, plan and execute A/B and multivariant tests to inform optimizations, and lead the development of measurement plans for content and media creative.
  • Lead the development of content business reviews, competitive analysis, financial trackers, and content or category-specific trends and ongoing thought leadership presentations.
  • Be proactive about solving problems even if it’s outside of your area and be ready to take on additional initiatives and responsibilities as they emerge.
  • Lead or support new business initiatives as needed.

Who You Are

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • 8-10 years' experience in client service, project management, and/or eCommerce content, must have minimum of three years working with Amazon.
  • Proven experience managing key client accounts, leading complex initiatives, overseeing direct reports, and working within eRetailer environments, specifically but not exclusive to Amazon.
  • Background in agency, retail marketing, or eCommerce environments.
  • Relentless attention to detail and organization. We provide large, complex content solutions with many moving parts. You will inspire confidence in our clients by making sure every detail is accounted for, documented and under control.
  • Strong relationship and client management skills. People do business with people they like and trust. Your ability to build lasting relationships and earn the trust of our clients will be essential to their growth.

Compensation

$120k - $128k in USD

Office Requirement

Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager.
