Account Director – Soft FM (PFI Healthcare Contract)

Are you an experienced Facilities Management leader with a strong background in PFI healthcare contracts? Do you have the strategic vision, commercial acumen and leadership capability to drive exceptional service delivery within a complex, high-profile healthcare environment?
Mitie is looking for an outstanding Account Director to lead the delivery of our Soft FM contract at John Radcliffe Hospital, one of the UK's leading teaching hospitals. This is a highly visible leadership role, responsible for ensuring operational excellence, building trusted client partnerships and delivering sustainable contract growth.
What you'll be doing
As Account Director, you will provide strategic leadership and overall accountability for a large and complex multi-service Soft FM contract. Working closely with senior client stakeholders, operational teams and support functions, you will ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with contractual commitments.

Key responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic direction and leadership across all Soft FM services.
- Developing and delivering long-term account plans aligned to client objectives and Mitie's growth strategy.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact.
- Leading, motivating and developing multidisciplinary teams to achieve exceptional service standards.
- Ensuring contractual compliance, KPI achievement and service excellence across the account.
- Driving continuous improvement, innovation and operational best practice.
- Identifying opportunities to enhance services, improve value and support commercial growth.
- Working collaboratively with Finance, HR, Commercial and Operational teams to ensure seamless contract delivery.
- Managing risk proactively and resolving operational challenges effectively.
- Leading governance meetings and performance reviews, providing clear accountability and strategic leadership.

What we're looking for
We're seeking a commercially minded and customer-focused leader who thrives in complex operational environments.
You'll bring:
- Significant experience managing large-scale, multi-service FM contracts within healthcare, PFI or similarly complex environments.
- Essential PFI contract management experience.
- A proven track record of leading high-performing teams and delivering operational excellence.
- Strong client relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
- Excellent commercial awareness and experience delivering against contractual and financial objectives.
- Strong understanding of service level agreements, performance management and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Outstanding communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions and respond effectively to changing client needs.
