Account Director – financial and professional services PR

About the Agency

Join an established, award-winning corporate communications agency helping financial and professional services brands build reputation, visibility, and influence.

Based in central London, this 25 person agency combines PR, content, social and design, SEO, to deliver truly integrated campaigns that make an impact.

You’ll be joining a collaborative, ambitious environment where people are encouraged to contribute ideas, challenge thinking, and play an active role in the agency’s continued growth.

About the Role

This Account Director role offers the opportunity to take genuine strategic ownership of high-profile accounts, lead talented teams, and build trusted, long-term client relationships. You’ll be a senior voice with the autonomy to make a real impact.

As an Account Director, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading strategic PR campaigns for financial and professional services clients, that deliver meaningful results and align with clients’ wider business objectives.
  • Driving standout media coverage, proactively identifying news, content, and thought-leadership opportunities rather than relying solely on client-led activity.
  • Providing senior-level counsel, presenting PR strategies with confidence, and acting as a trusted adviser to clients.
  • Building and growing accounts, spotting opportunities to upsell PR and integrated communications services while contributing to new-business pitches and developing your own network.
  • Leading and developing people, mentoring account teams, encouraging creativity, and championing best practice across the agency.
  • Keeping a strategic eye on performance, using data, market developments, and campaign results to continually refine PR activity and demonstrate value.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
