Account Director - Post Office
We’re looking for an experienced Account Director to join the team at Bray Leino, leading and growing key client relationships, overseeing the delivery of high-quality integrated campaigns, and driving strong commercial performance across one of our largest and most high-profile accounts – Post Office.
Working within a collaborative team, you’ll act as the central link between client and agency teams, bringing together strategy, creative and delivery to produce effective, insight-led work that delivers measurable business growth.
Alongside leading multiple workstreams and senior stakeholder relationships, you’ll take ownership of account performance, identify opportunities for growth and play an important role in developing and motivating a high-performing account team.
The role is hybrid with a London office base (minimum 3 days/week), but we’re open to discussing individual flexibility needs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the senior client lead, building strong, trusted stakeholder relationships
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of integrated campaigns across multiple workstreams
- Develop a deep understanding of client businesses, commercial priorities, performance, and competitors
- Manage the development of creative briefs and communications strategies
- Translate client objectives into clear direction for internal teams
- Work closely with planning, creative and specialist teams to deliver high-quality, effective work
- Ensure all work is delivered on time, on brief, and on budget
- Take ownership of account commercial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability
- Identify and drive account growth opportunities, including upsell and cross-sell
- Coordinate internal teams and partners to ensure seamless delivery
- Forward plan resources to support efficient delivery
- Lead client meetings, presentations, and reviews
- Build proactive account plans and add value beyond incoming briefs
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a high-performance culture
- Manage upwards and maintain clear senior stakeholder communication
Skills & Experience
We’re looking for someone with strong experience in a senior client services or account leadership role within an agency or similarly fast-paced marketing environment.
You’ll bring:
- A strong track record of managing and growing senior client relationships
- Experience independently leading significant accounts, complex campaigns and multiple workstreams.
- Excellent commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets, forecasts, scopes and account profitability
- A proven ability to identify and convert account growth, cross-sell and business development opportunities
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate business objectives into clear marketing and communications strategies
- Excellent communication, presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Experience leading negotiations and navigating difficult client conversations
- Strong project and delivery management skills, with the ability to maintain quality, efficiency and attention to detail across multiple priorities
- An understanding of governance, compliance and risk management within client delivery
- A proactive and commercially minded approach, with the ability to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement
- Strong leadership skills, with experience coaching, mentoring and developing account managers, executives and wider teams
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships across creative, strategy, delivery and specialist disciplines
