Account Director

We are looking for an Account Director to join our growing team in Nottingham. Reporting to the Senior Account Director, the Account Director will take ownership of an assigned brand led programme for a leading Health & Beauty Retailer, leading client relationships, commercial performance, and programme delivery.

You'll be responsible for managing senior client relationships, driving commercial growth, identifying new opportunities, and delivering exceptional retail and experiential campaigns. Working closely with the Senior Account Director, you'll help shape account strategy, influence key stakeholders, and ensure outstanding programme delivery.

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident, strategic leader who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and is passionate about creating impactful brand experiences.

This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days in the Nottingham office, with some travel to client meetings, the Maidenhead Head office, and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the strategic and operational leadership of an assigned client retail experience and experiential programme, ensuring successful delivery, client satisfaction, and commercial performance.
  • Independently lead stakeholder relationships, providing expert guidance, challenge, and recommendations to clients and internal teams.
  • Develop and implement retailer-specific growth strategies that drive account expansion, identifying opportunities for increased investment, enhanced experiential activations, and long-term partnership development within retail environments.
  • Interrogate and shape client briefs, uncovering underlying business challenges and translating them into commercially viable retail experiences.
  • Lead the development of retail experience & experiential proposals, quotations, budgets, and client presentations, ensuring commercial accuracy, profitability, and strategic alignment.
  • Maintain accountability for programme budgets, forecasting, profitability, and financial reporting.
  • Lead governance meetings, programme reviews, and issue resolution, ensuring clear communication and accountability across stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure activity is scoped correctly, delivered efficiently, and exceeds client expectations.
  • Support wider supplier-funded projects, retailer-led initiatives, and account growth opportunities as required.
  • Ensure governance processes, project controls, and ways of working are consistently followed across all programmes.
  • Act as a trusted ambassador for N2O, representing the agency professionally and building confidence in our capabilities and expertise.
  • Work closely with Campaign Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless programme delivery and exceptional client service.
  • Exceed agreed revenue, margin, and client growth targets.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
