Senior Business Development Manager

Managed Services & Cybersecurity | London

The Opportunity

Our client, a boutique-sized IT consulting and managed services firm, is hiring a Senior Business Development Manager to drive new business growth, with a particular focus on its managed services and cybersecurity offering. The firm has built its reputation on personalised, high-touch delivery — including ISO 27001-accredited security practices — and is looking for an experienced new-business hunter who can open doors with mid-to-large UK organisations and close credibly on security and managed services propositions.

Company Snapshot

A London-based, boutique-sized IT consulting and managed services firm serving mid-to-large UK organisations across sectors including education, financial services, and the public sector. ISO 27001, 9001, and 14001 accredited, with a service range spanning managed services, cybersecurity, cloud, and workplace technology.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You'll Own

  • Proactively generating and closing new business for managed services and cybersecurity propositions, with full ownership of the new-logo sales cycle
  • Building a strong outbound pipeline through prospecting, networking, and relationship-building
  • Positioning security and managed services credibly to security-conscious buyers — CISOs, IT Directors, and senior IT stakeholders
  • Representing the firm at a senior level to prospective clients across mid-to-large UK organisations

What We're Looking For

  • A strong track record of new-business sales in managed services, cybersecurity, or IT services — "Senior" implies proven quota attainment, not someone early in their BDM career
  • Comfort selling security and managed services propositions to technical and risk-conscious buyers
  • A genuine hunter mindset, with experience winning new logos rather than growing existing accounts
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills, particularly with mid-market and enterprise UK organisations
  • Self-starter energy suited to a smaller, boutique-style firm rather than a large, process-heavy sales org
