Account Director - SkillsLab
Location: Hybrid (home-based with UK travel)
Reports to: Head of Commercial, SkillsLab
Shape the Future of Professional Skills Development
SkillsLab is entering an exciting phase of growth as we launch our new Professional Skills Modules (PSM) and expand our commercial offering. We're looking for a commercially driven Account Director to help maximise this opportunity by strengthening relationships across First Intuition's employer network and driving sustainable growth.
This is a high-impact role combining strategic account management, business development and client leadership. You'll lead employers through the transition from the Impact Skills Programme (ISP) to PSM while identifying opportunities to expand engagement and revenue.

As we continue to grow, this role will be central to strengthening client partnerships and supporting our long-term commercial success.
The Role
You'll own the SkillsLab relationship across First Intuition's employer base, building strong senior-level partnerships and positioning SkillsLab as a trusted talent development partner.

Working closely with regional and national client teams, you'll support programme implementation, deliver outstanding client experiences and identify opportunities for additional services, programmes and future SkillsLab solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Growth
- Develop strategic account plans for key clients.
- Identify and convert growth opportunities across existing accounts.
- Deliver revenue and growth targets.
- Manage forecasts and pipeline activity through HubSpot.
Lead the ISP to PSM Transition
- Act as the senior client lead for programme transition.
- Communicate the value and benefits of PSM.
- Coordinate implementation activity with internal teams.
- Ensure a seamless client experience and resolve issues promptly.
Build Strong Partnerships
- Collaborate with regional, national and public-sector teams.
- Support client reviews, meetings, webinars and events.
- Champion SkillsLab across the wider organisation.
- Share market insights and client feedback to inform future development.
Support Wider Growth
- Contribute to broader talent and development conversations.
- Work with delivery teams to meet client needs.
- Support marketing campaigns and customer engagement initiatives.
About You
We're looking for someone with:
- Significant experience in account management, client partnerships or business development.
- A track record of growing revenue through existing client relationships.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Experience leading clients through change or service transitions.
- A consultative, solution-focused approach.
- A passion for learning, development and helping people succeed.

Desirable Experience
- Learning and development, apprenticeships or education.
- Professional services or people development solutions.
- Public-sector client management.
- Apprenticeship funding knowledge.
- HubSpot or similar CRM systems.
- Experience in a scaling or high-growth environment.
