Account Director - Security & Workplace Services
Location: Manchester (Regional Estate Based)
Role Purpose
Mitie is seeking an exceptional Account Director to lead the delivery of Security and Workplace Services across a prestigious portfolio of estate locations throughout the region.
This is a high-profile leadership role with overall responsibility for client satisfaction, operational excellence, commercial performance, and strategic growth across a complex multi-site contract.
As the senior Mitie representative, you will build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders, lead high-performing teams, and ensure the consistent delivery of safe, secure, and exceptional workplace environments. You will drive innovation, continuous improvement, and service excellence while ensuring the contract delivers measurable value to both the client and Mitie.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Lead the overall contract strategy, performance, and growth across the regional estate.
- Deliver operational excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement across all service lines.
- Drive a culture of accountability, customer focus, and high performance.
- Act as the senior escalation point for all contractual, operational, and strategic matters.
Security & Workplace Services
- Provide leadership across all security and workplace service operations.
- Ensure safe, secure, and professionally maintained environments across the estate.
- Maintain exceptional service standards, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience.
- Champion best practice, innovation, and service transformation initiatives.
Client Partnership
- Develop trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
- Lead governance, performance reviews, and strategic planning discussions.
- Act as a strategic advisor, identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery and create value.
- Ensure exceptional client satisfaction and long-term contract retention.
Commercial & Financial Management
- Deliver contractual KPIs, profitability, and growth objectives.
- Manage budgets, forecasting, and financial performance.
- Identify efficiencies, commercial opportunities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure effective supplier and subcontractor management.

Candidate Profile
Essential Experience
- Significant senior leadership experience within Security Services, Facilities Management, or Integrated Workplace Services.
- Proven success managing complex, multi-site contracts and large operational teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience delivering profitable, high-performing client accounts.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at executive level.
- Demonstrable experience driving operational excellence, innovation, and service transformation.
Qualifications
- SIA Licence.
- IOSH Managing Safely (minimum).
- NEBOSH and/or IWFM qualification desirable.
- Security Institute, ASIS, or equivalent professional qualification desirable.
