Account Director

This is a commercial leadership role for someone who is already a proven, senior revenue producer. Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will own our largest and most strategic accounts end-to-end, with full closing and execution rights, while building and growing a team of Analysts, BDRs, and Senior BDRs underneath you. You're not just responsible for your own number, you're responsible for the commercial output of everyone you lead. What sets this role apart is the scope and the platform you get to run it on. You'll have full execution rights across our product set, backed by alt21's market-leading technology and a genuinely diverse offering that lets you structure real solutions for enterprise clients rather than sell a single product. We sit deliberately in the middle of brokers, banks, and fintechs, sharper and more agile than a bank, deeper and more specialist than a broker, more established and trusted than a fintech, and that positioning is exactly what lets you land and grow the enterprise relationships this role is built around. Strong candidates will already have a track record in enterprise growth and team leadership, not just individual output; this is a role for someone who wants to build a commercial engine, not just run one. It is not a role for someone who wants to keep their success to themselves.

Company Overview

ALT 21 is an innovative, award-winning, and dual-regulated FX hedging technology company. We are a fast-growing business with offices in London, Dublin, Portugal, and Malta and have undergone significant change over the last year on the back of a large funding round. We build technology that simplifies hedging, providing a full suite of products distributed through our partner channels to SMEs. Our mission is to use technology to bring essential financial risk management products to everyday businesses in a way that is easy for them to understand.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Own alt21's largest and most strategic client relationships end-to-end, with full closing and execution rights across the product set.
  • Drive enterprise-level revenue growth, identifying and landing accounts that require longer sales cycles and more complex structuring than standard new business.
  • Build, lead, and grow a team of Analysts, BDRs, and Senior BDRs, setting the standard for how the team sells.
  • Step in as an S2 closer whenever a colleague needs support landing a deal — actively encouraged, not incidental.
  • Represent alt21 at a senior, commercial level with strategic clients and partners.
  • Take ultimate accountability for your team's commercial output, not just your own number.

Automation, Systems & Technology

  • Champion the use of alt21's platform and tooling across your team, so automation and good process — not manual workarounds — scale with headcount.
  • Identify where systems, dashboards, or vendor integrations could better support enterprise account management, and push for those improvements.
  • Set the expectation across your team that manual, repetitive tasks should be questioned and automated wherever possible.
  • Use commercial data and reporting to guide where you and your team focus effort, rather than working on instinct alone.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Build and develop a team of Analysts, BDRs, and Senior BDRs, taking full accountability for their growth and output.
  • Act as a senior point of escalation and coaching for closers across the floor, including stepping in personally on live deals.
  • Partner closely with the Head of Sales on enterprise growth strategy and broader commercial planning.
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, onboarding, and product teams to ensure strategic accounts get a service that matches their scale.

Personal Specification

Essential

  • A strong, demonstrable track record in enterprise or strategic account sales, not just high-volume transactional selling.
  • Full confidence executing across alt21's product set, with genuine product depth beyond spot and forwards.
  • Prior experience leading, managing, or formally mentoring a sales team.
  • Strong commercial judgement and the ability to operate with real autonomy.
  • Comfortable being accountable for outcomes beyond your own personal number.

Desirable

  • Strong candidates will show some or all of the following:
    • Direct experience managing Analysts, BDRs, or similar junior sales talent.
    • A track record of winning and growing genuinely enterprise-scale clients.
    • Familiarity with FX market structure and competitive positioning against banks, brokers, and fintechs, well enough to sell against it.
    • Experience improving or shaping a team's use of sales tooling, CRM, or automation.
    • A reputation among peers as someone people go to for help closing, not just for their own numbers.
