Overview

Are you an experienced digital account leader who thrives on turning ambitious client visions into seamless, high-performing web platforms? Have you built a strong foundation in digital agency delivery and now want to apply those skills to drive real-world social change? Do you want to own the day-to-day delivery of major web builds and digital products for organisations fighting for climate action, human rights, and social justice?
If you want to bring exceptional project leadership, technical literacy, and account management to leading charities, NGOs, and purpose-led causes, join our growing team of world-class digital talent at 89up.

About 89up

89up is the global agency for non-profits and good causes. Our mission is clear: to help our incredible clients tackle the world’s greatest challenges, with a focus on climate action, social justice, economic fairness, and helping to deliver the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
We work with organisations across the UK, Europe, the US, and beyond. Across the agency, we deliver public relations, creative campaigns, website development, advocacy, insights, and mobilisation.

You are joining a team of people who...

  • Are passionate about driving change
  • Are curious and looking for ways to use technology for good
  • Love tackling complex problems and inspiring action
  • Believe in collaborative working and creating integrated solutions
  • Want to create industry leading work for causes that matter

The Role

We are seeking a highly organised and technically astute Account Director to join our Web (digital products) team.

As the primary operational engine behind our key web accounts, you will lead day-to-day client relationships and own the end-to-end delivery of complex digital projects from discovery through to QA, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. You will translate strategic organisational goals into clear technical briefs, manage budgets and resourcing, and ensure project scope and quality remain tightly controlled.

Reporting to the Head of Digital Experience (and COO), you will work in tandem with our Lead Developer and Head of Design, co-leading sprint planning, managing capacity, and aligning technical execution with client expectations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
