Account Director

We’re on the lookout for an Account Director to join our growing team!

As an Account Director at Whippet, you’ll work closely with our clients to develop understanding of their brand and requirements, to deliver best-in-class service delivery. You will ensure client's needs are met by collaborating with teams and be hands on to meet strict project deadlines.

You’ll build client relationships and represent the agency and our values in client boardrooms and industry events. You will run projects with autonomy and report to the Client Services Director regularly. Within the role you will communicate with the client regularly and be hands-on in the delivery of projects.

Whippet is an award-winning creative agency transforming brands. We’ve been around for over 20 years, which means we know how to deliver results that count. We get brands, we get design, we get communications, and between our amazing team of 30 people comprising of Creative, Strategy and Client Services, we deliver powerful marketing designs.

We work predominantly in retail, so it’s fast, but we love the variety and the pace! You’ll be working with some pretty amazing brands, alongside some pretty amazing people, so if you’re creative, passionate, motivated, collaborative, with an eye for detail, you’ll fit right in.

What to expect?

Day-to-day as an AD at Whippet you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain daily communication with the client to manage projects and expectations effectively
  • Brief, oversee and ensure delivery of creative with our in-house team of designers, copy and strategists
  • Set up and management of jobs in project management systems and regularly update agency financial tracker.
  • Collaborate with the Client Services Director to identify new opportunity for account growth
  • Report on project status, timing, budgets and resources to ensure smooth day-to-day running and maximise profitability
  • Negotiate scope and costs clients and ensure relevant internal resources are secured
  • Accurately manage and forecast workload to ensure projects are delivered on time and in budget
  • Prepare clear and succinct briefs for creative teams which are motivating and engaging
  • Grow account revenue with new and existing clients and take a pro-active stance to identify opportunities and establish relationships
  • Build and manage relationships with large clients based in the UK and overseas
  • Be an ambassador for all things Whippet and our values
