Account Executive – Public Sector Software (Policing & Intelligence)

As Account Executive you will own a territory of named accounts and a revenue number. You will close new deals, turn pilots into force-wide or agency-wide contracts, and grow existing customers through renewals and expansion.

You will work with a Business Development Manager and pre-sales engineers, and lead the deal from qualification through commercial negotiation to signature.

Key responsibilities

  • Own an annual revenue target across a territory of UK police forces, ROCUs, national agencies and government departments.
  • Run the full sales cycle: discovery, qualification (MEDDPICC or similar), demos with pre-sales, pilots, proposals, negotiation and close.
  • Turn successful pilots and proofs of concept into funded, multi-year contracts. Map budget holders, business case owners and procurement routes early.
  • Get deals through public sector buying: G-Cloud, Crown Commercial Service and police-specific frameworks, direct awards, tenders and year-end budget windows.
  • Manage existing customers so they renew on time and expand into new units, forces or use cases.
  • Handle information security, data protection (DPIA) and assurance questions with legal and technical colleagues.
  • Keep the CRM and forecast accurate, with a clear commit, best case and pipeline view each week.
  • Feed customer, policy and competitor insight back to product and leadership.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Disciplined forecasting and pipeline management in a CRM such as Salesforce or HubSpot.

Highly desirable
