Account Executive
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: £42,000 to £45,000 base + £62-65k OTE uncapped + benefits

Are you an experienced B2B salesperson looking for a role where you can win new business while also having warm opportunities and existing accounts to grow?
We're partnering with a leading UK Learning & Development business to recruit an Account Executive into their growing commercial team. This is a genuinely varied sales role where you'll be responsible for generating new business, working warm inbound and marketing-generated opportunities, and developing a portfolio of existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling.
You'll be selling a range of e-learning, digital skills, professional development and apprenticeship solutions to businesses across a variety of industries, working with decision-makers across HR, Learning & Development and senior leadership teams.
The Role
As an Account Executive, you'll manage the full sales cycle across new and existing business, from identifying opportunities through to closing and growing customer relationships.
You'll be responsible for:
- Generating new business through proactive outbound prospecting and business development.
- Working warm and inbound leads provided to you by the business.
- Taking ownership of a portfolio of allocated customer accounts and identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell.
- Building relationships with decision-makers across HR, L&D, People and senior leadership teams.
- Understanding customer challenges and recommending the right learning, development and digital skills solutions.
- Managing opportunities through the full sales cycle, from initial conversation through to close.
- Running virtual and face-to-face meetings and presenting solutions to prospective customers.
- Building long-term relationships that create repeat and additional revenue.
- Managing your pipeline and activity through CRM.
- Working closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth customer journey.

About You
You'll need a minimum of 3 years' B2B sales experience and a proven track record of working towards commercial targets.
We're looking for someone who is commercially driven, enjoys speaking to customers and wants to build a long-term career in sales.
You'll ideally have:
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience.
- A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience selling into businesses, ideally through a consultative sales approach.
- Confidence prospecting for new business and speaking with senior stakeholders.
- Experience managing a sales cycle from initial conversation through to close.
- Experience developing existing customer relationships and identifying upsell opportunities.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A target-driven and proactive mindset.
- The motivation to progress quickly and take advantage of development opportunities.

You don't need to have experience within Learning & Development. What's more important is that you have solid B2B sales experience, are commercially minded and enjoy building relationships and winning business.
