Account Executive – Retail Marketing Projects
£25,000 - £28,000 p/a.
Northampton – Hybrid, 2+ days / week in the office
We’re working with an award-winning, global, retail marketing agency, who are on the hunt for their next Account Executive or client-facing Junior Project Manager to support the team and work on in-store point of sale and promotional projects for some of the world’s best-known brands.
You’ll be working in a collaborative team of Account / Project Managers who work with consumer brands from a wide range of industries to deliver in-store marketing assets / Point of Sale (POS) work. Working closely with the rest of the team and clients, the Account Executive will work on smaller projects to take briefs from the client and booking projects into the workflow system as well as briefing jobs into the relevant studio or production teams. You’ll administer projects and multitask to ensure work moves smoothly through the agency. You will be involved right through the process, as briefs come into the agency and will build strong relationships internally and with clients right through to completion of work. You’ll deal directly with the design and artworking studio team and with production managers on more complex projects with the oversight of Senior Account Managers or Account Directors. Work will vary, but can include in-store posters, window graphics, counter units, shelf displays units, through to stickers and leaflets.

When starting in the role, you will get support from more senior people on the team as you support them with their tasks whilst you’re trained on the processes. You’ll be introduced to all of the relevant teams that you will work with so that you can quickly start to pick up and run with your own small projects and gradually build up your knowledge and experience. The agency is keen to find an Account Executive who is very eager to learn, asks lots of questions and enjoys working in a fast-paced, busy role. This position will certainly give the successful candidate an opportunity to quickly take on more responsibility and autonomy in the role whilst ensuring you progress at the right pace and aren’t at all out of your depth.
The agency is looking for someone who is comfortable being client-facing and well-organised in equal measures. Ideally you will have some relevant experience of working with clients / customers and managing projects through a process and looking after the admin around this. Any additional knowledge of advertising / marketing / retail promotional or production of print campaigns would also be an advantage but hunger and conscientiousness and a good character is just as important for the role. The Account Executive / Junior Project Manager will need to be a fast learner, proactive, conscientious and ideally looking for a role where they can take on responsibility and step up through the ranks as they build their career. You will need to be able to work methodically with the studio, making sure the briefs are clear and everybody knows what they’re doing whilst also being able to reprioritise as needed. Building relationships easily and being a positive and hard-working person will also stand you in good stead to be successful in the role.

Responsibilities:
- Taking design / artwork briefs from clients and ensuring details are clear for the studio.
- Booking work in on the system and managing project admin throughout.
- Making sure the studio and other teams are briefed in correctly and work is on track.
- Being a strong communicator and organised to service clients well and build client relationships.
- Multitasking and prioritising to ensure work is on brief, correct and delivered to the client on time.
