A fast-growing cybersecurity software company is looking for a Business Development Manager to join its expanding commercial team.
The business is building a platform that helps companies achieve and maintain compliance with recognised standards more quickly and efficiently.
This is a full-cycle sales role with responsibility for generating pipeline, running demos, and closing new business.
Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting.
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline.
- Run discovery calls and product demonstrations.
- Manage opportunities from first conversation through to close.
- Work closely with the CEO, sales team, and product function.
- Provide market feedback to help shape the company’s commercial strategy.

Ideal Background
- Previous experience in a B2B sales role.
- At least one to two years of closing experience.
- SaaS experience is strongly preferred.
- Confident prospecting through phone, email, LinkedIn, and your own network.
- Comfortable owning the full sales cycle.
- Able to work independently within a fast-paced startup environment.
- Commercially credible and comfortable speaking with senior decision makers.

Package
- £40,000-£50,000 base salary.
- Uncapped commission with OTE of circa £100,000.
- Direct access to the CEO and senior leadership team.
- Paid city centre parking or support with public transport costs.

- Office based in Sunderland, with additional flexibility available after probation.
