About the role

Lycetts Insurance Brokers, who are proudly part of Benefact Group, are looking for an Account Executive to join our Newcastle office.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Lycetts as an Account Executive where you'll manage and grow a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, providing trusted advice, excellent service, and tailored insurance solutions. Working closely with clients, insurers, and colleagues, you'll play a key role in building long-term relationships and supporting business growth.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing and developing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients
  • Building strong client relationships through regular reviews and risk discussions
  • Negotiating with insurers to secure competitive and appropriate cover
  • Identifying and converting new business opportunities
  • Delivering renewals, recommendations, and client communications
  • Working with colleagues and insurer partners to achieve great client outcomes
  • Ensuring FCA compliance and maintaining accurate records

What you'll need to have

  • Experience in commercial insurance broking or underwriting
  • Working understanding of relevant to role insurance products
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to analyse and interpret insurance documentation and policy wordings
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation, and time management
  • Negotiation skills when dealing with insurers and service partners
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and broking software
