Account Executive responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of clients, retaining existing business, developing new opportunities, and delivering effective insurance broking and client service.

The Role:

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of clients, driving retention, growth and profitability.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, prospects, insurers and key market contacts.
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities, maintaining an active pipeline.
  • Develop client solutions, programme structures and placement strategies.
  • Lead end-to-end client service, from initial engagement through placement and ongoing account management.
  • Negotiate effectively with Lloyd’s, company and international markets to secure appropriate solutions.
  • Identify cross-selling and account development opportunities across the business.
  • Prepare client proposals, presentations and RFP responses.
  • Maintain accurate CRM, revenue forecasts, documentation and other required systems.
  • Ensure all activities meet FCA, regulatory, compliance and internal governance requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and business leaders to deliver excellent client outcomes.
  • Maintain strong technical and market knowledge across relevant insurance products and sectors.

QUALIFICATIONS

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience in insurance broking, account management and client service.
  • Strong track record of client retention, account development and new business conversion.
  • Good understanding of global insurance markets and broking processes.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to develop insurance solutions and negotiate placements with insurers.
  • Commercial awareness with an understanding of pricing and profitability.
  • Degree or relevant industry experience preferred.
  • ACII qualified or working towards ACII preferred.
