The Role

We are looking for an account executive in our renewals team to advise our clients on the protection of their businesses' assets and liabilities. You will support our clients by reviewing current coverage and assessing any changes to a business's risk as well as negotiating with our panel of insurers ensuring you are providing the appropriate and cost-effective policy for the upcoming year. When joining, you will be assigned your own book.

Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Research and communicate up-to-date policy renewal information ensuring all clients receive the most appropriate advice and service relating to their insurance needs
  • Advise clients on the policy cover, terms and conditions, working with our claims department to ensure that the client understands the effect of breach of onerous conditions or requirements
  • Respond promptly to client queries and ensure that all communications with customers and/or insurers, or other relevant business contacts are accurately recorded
  • Identify and respond to all up-sell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Learn and retain detailed product knowledge
  • Develop and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients, insurers and internal stakeholders
  • Work closely with internal support teams to deliver excellent service

What We Are Looking For

The suitable candidate for this role would bring:

  • Demonstratable experience as an Account Executive in Renewals specifically within a commercial insurance setting or the SME (Small and Medium Enterprise) sector
  • A well-founded understanding of the fundamentals of Insurance and its legal context and operation of the Insurance marketplace
  • A proven track record of maintaining an existing book of business
  • A strong understanding of current and upcoming commercial insurance coverage
  • Highly professional with an engaging and friendly manner maintaining a client-led approach
  • Strong relationship building, influencing and team building skills
  • Ability to use software for statistical analysis and predictive modelling
  • Have a CII Certification or be working towards one
