The Opportunity
The Telesales Account Executive is responsible for driving new business growth, managing and developing broker relationships, and delivering Annualised New Business Premium (ANP) targets across the UK Employee Benefits business. The role plays a key part in supporting MetLife's growth ambitions by generating revenue, enhancing broker engagement, and ensuring customers have access to solutions that help protect their financial wellbeing.
This is an exciting opportunity to build strong partnerships with brokers, influence business growth, and make a direct impact on MetLife's sales performance while working in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of intermediary and broker relationships through regular contact and face-to-face meetings, identifying opportunities to increase revenue and strengthen partnerships.
- Drive sales activity through proactive outbound calling, lead generation, pipeline management, and consistent follow-up to convert opportunities into new business.
- Present and promote MetLife's products, value-added services, and propositions to brokers, ensuring they understand and maximise the benefits available to their clients.
- Maintain and develop business opportunities by obtaining quote feedback, progressing sales conversations, supporting retention activity, and delivering against annualised premium and growth targets.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in a sales, account management, or business development role, with a proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective broker and intermediary partnerships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to identify customer needs and present appropriate solutions.
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) to manage pipelines, reporting, and customer activity.
- AI fluency with the ability to effectively use AI-powered tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to enhance productivity, analyse information, generate insights, and improve customer and sales outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred qualifications include experience within the insurance, employee benefits, or financial services industry; however, this is not essential. We welcome candidates with a strong track record in relationship management, business development who can demonstrate the ability to build and grow client relationships, conduct effective sales conversations, and deliver against performance targets.
