Founding Account Executive
Salary - Up to £85k plus bonus (£120k OTE) and equity.
Location - London (Hybrid)
About the Company
An exciting early-stage AI business is looking for a Founding Account Executive to take ownership of new business and help build a repeatable sales function from the ground up.
About the Role
This is a genuine 0→1 sales role. You’ll work directly with the Founder, own your pipeline and full sales cycle, and have significant influence over how the commercial function develops.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage your own pipeline across DTC and Shopify brands
- Generate opportunities through cold calling, email, LinkedIn, events, partnerships and referrals
- Run discovery with Founders, eCommerce, CX and Operations leaders
- Deliver tailored product demonstrations and build a clear commercial case
- Manage negotiations and close new business
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through to handover
- Maintain a disciplined CRM and accurate pipeline
- Help develop messaging, sales processes and playbooks
- Work closely with the Founder to refine the go-to-market strategy
- Help recruit and coach future sales hires as the business scales

Qualifications
- Proven full-cycle B2B SaaS sales experience
- Follows the MEDDPICC sales methodology
- A track record of personally generating pipeline and closing deals
- Comfortable selling to Founders and senior decision-makers
- Experience with £5k–£50k+ ACV deals
- Experience selling into eCommerce, retail technology, MarTech or CX is highly desirable
- Confident prospecting, cold calling and asking for the next step
- Commercially minded, curious and comfortable operating in an early-stage environment
- Strong ownership and the ability to work without an established SDR or sales team
- Ambition to grow into a wider commercial leadership role
- Experience as an early sales hire, strong Shopify/eCommerce relationships or experience building sales processes would be a major advantage
