Position Summary:

Account Executive – Field Sales

Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Role type: Field-based

Build relationships. Win business. Own your territory.

We're looking for a commercially driven Account Executive who enjoys getting out into the market, meeting customers and turning opportunities into long-term business.

This isn't a role where you'll spend your week sitting behind a desk managing an existing book of accounts.

You'll take ownership of a defined territory and have the freedom to build your own success - identifying new opportunities, opening doors, winning new customers and developing a portfolio of SME businesses.

You'll spend much of your time face-to-face with customers and prospects, understanding how their businesses work, the challenges they face and where we can genuinely add value.

What you'll be doing

You'll be responsible for both winning new business and growing strong customer relationships across your territory.

That means you'll:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within your local market.
  • Build a strong network and prospect pipeline across your territory.
  • Meet prospective customers face-to-face and understand their commercial needs.
  • Negotiate and close new business opportunities.
  • Take ownership of a portfolio of SME customers, protecting and growing those relationships.
  • Spot opportunities to increase the value of existing accounts.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the wider business to deliver the right solutions for your customers.
  • Manage your own territory, pipeline and activity to consistently deliver against your sales goals.

You'll have the autonomy to plan your week and decide where to focus your energy. Some days will be spent meeting customers in the field; others will involve prospecting, preparing proposals, progressing opportunities and making the calls that create your next customer.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Who we're looking for

We're less interested in somebody who can simply talk about sales and more interested in somebody who can demonstrate that they've delivered results.

You'll ideally bring:

  • A proven track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
  • The confidence to prospect, open doors and create opportunities.
  • The ability to build credible relationships with business owners and decision-makers.
  • Resilience and the motivation to keep moving when the first answer is "no".
  • The organisation and discipline to manage your own territory and pipeline.
  • A genuine desire to learn, develop and progress.

Previous experience in logistics isn't essential. Great salespeople can learn our industry - we're interested in the behaviours, mindset and track record you bring with you.

What you'll get from us

You'll receive comprehensive training and ongoing support to help you understand our business, our customers and the solutions you can offer.

You'll also join an environment where strong performance is recognised and development is encouraged. For somebody with ambition, this role can provide a platform to build a long-term career and progress into larger commercial opportunities or leadership roles.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, alongside the opportunity to represent a globally recognised business while building something that feels very much like your own.

If you enjoy winning business, building relationships and having real ownership of your results, we'd like to hear from you.
