NB - this role is for someone already adept at working remotely (UK only) and autonomously. Experience selling from the UK into the US and / or European markets is also required. Pure new biz role with OTE in the £85-110k area

The company

Our client is a profitable SaaS business selling compliance software to technical companies in regulated industries. Customers rely on it to stay audit-ready and get products to market faster, so it sits at the core of how they operate. The product is sticky and unusually flexible.

Customers shape it around the way they work, which has kept it ahead of more rigid competitors. New investment, new leadership and a rebuilt sales motion are already paying off. New business is up by over a quarter in the last six months, pipeline has grown more than fivefold and deal values are on course to double. The business now needs experienced new business sellers to push on.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This is pure new business. You report to the Commercial Director, run every deal yourself from discovery to signature, and leave renewals to Customer Success. You'll own:

  • A territory mixing core markets with newer regions and verticals
  • The full cycle: discovery, demo, proposal, negotiation and close
  • Mid-market deals, plus a growing number of six-figure enterprise opportunities
  • A steady flow of inbound and SDR-sourced meetings, so you start at discovery, versus having to run all prospecting
  • Opening up adjacent regulated sectors the business has barely touched
  • Uncapped commission with accelerators beyond target, set at a level the current team already beats
  • 30 days' leave plus 8 bank holidays, employer pension and private health

You

  • A hunter — your career has been spent winning new logos and beating quota, not farming accounts
  • A full-cycle seller who wins without leaning on a solutions consultant, using a methodology such as MEDDPICC or Challenger
  • You’ve succeeded in smaller SaaS start-up businesses (sub £10m ARR)
  • Bonus: Experience of selling into international markets from the UK
  • Confident demoing a complex product to technical buyers in quality, regulatory and engineering
  • Data-driven — you run your pipeline by the numbers, forecast accurately and use AI across your sales process
  • Commercially sharp — you sell on value, not price, and negotiate well. You are curious about new industry sectors and their problems.
  • Self-starting and used to working remotely, including the odd early or late call across time zones
  • SaaS sales into multi-stakeholder buying groups. Experience of regulated industries or quality software is a bonus, not essential
