New Business Development Manager – UK
Location: Hybrid: London office & home-based
Reports to: UK&I Managing Director
Experience: 5+ years in B2B service sales, including 3 years in IT/technology sales targeting the UK market
About the role
Future Processing has been building software and delivering technology consulting for over 25 years, working with clients across the globe. Our UK business is a major part of that story. We have a growing local presence with the delivery capability and financial backing of the wider group behind us, but still dynamic enough that one person's work can visibly make a difference.
We're looking for someone to continue to build new business across the UK, finding organisations that are ready to move beyond time-and-materials arrangements and into proper value-based partnerships around data, cloud, AI and software modernisation, and then closing that business. You'll own the relationship from the first conversation through to signed contract, with strong support from our technical and marketing teams rather than carrying it alone.
This is a role for someone who wants to build a market and a reputation, not manage a book of business that already exists.
What you'll be doing
- Build pipeline across the UK through prospecting on LinkedIn, email outreach, account-based marketing, networking, conferences and communities.
- Identify and qualify new opportunities, and build relationships with new organisations from scratch.
- Work with marketing and the wider sales and technical team to shape outreach strategy and messaging.
- Own the full sales cycle end to end: discovery, proposal, negotiation, contract.
- Build value propositions and business cases specific to each client - the conversation should be about business outcomes and ROI, not just the technology.
- Work closely with our domain and technical experts to shape offers that genuinely match what the client is trying to achieve.
- Act as a trusted advisor, understand a client's goals, KPIs and processes well enough to translate them into technology opportunities.
- Look for cross-sell and upsell opportunities within existing clients and prospects.
- Represent Future Processing at UK industry events, conferences and networking meetings.
- Help shape the sales strategy for the region: outreach campaigns, target segments, messaging.
- Use the CRM to track pipeline, forecast deals, and report on results and metrics.
- Stay close to UK market trends, client needs and the competitive landscape, and feed what you learn back into how we shape our offers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we're looking for
- Minimum 5 years in B2B service sales, including at least 3 years selling IT or technology into the UK market.
- A track record of closing deals in areas such as data & analytics, cloud & software modernisation, AI/ML or innovation enablement.
- Strong English (C1 or higher) - comfortable in a room with senior decision-makers.
- Experience owning the full sales process, from prospecting through to signed contract.
- Comfortable selling on value: building a business case and tying it to ROI, rather than leading with a rate card.
- Experience selling productised or packaged service offerings within IT (e.g. managed services, fixed-scope solutions), rather than relying solely on time-and-materials engagements.
- Enough grounding in the data, cloud and AI ecosystem (GCP, Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks) to have a real conversation with technology leaders, without needing to be the one implementing it.
- The ability to engage and influence C-level and Director-level stakeholders in medium to large organisations.
- Self-starting and results-driven, but genuinely collaborative - you'll be working with marketing, sales and technical colleagues, not selling in isolation.
- Motivated to move clients away from time-and-materials thinking and into value-based commercial models.
- Experience in energy, manufacturing, finance, media, advertising or insurance is desirable, though not required.

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
Why join Future Processing UK?
You'd be joining a strong UK team inside a large, well-established European software group with over 25 years of delivery history, a broad services portfolio and a deep technical bench behind you, but a UK operation still young enough that your work will visibly shape it.
We're deliberately trying to sell differently: fewer bodies on a rate card, more partnerships built around outcomes. If you've spent your career pushing back against time-and-materials thinking, this is a chance to build a UK book of business on your own terms, backed by real delivery capability rather than promises.
Day to day, you'll have genuine autonomy over how you build your pipeline and run your patch, support from technical experts who can back up what you're selling, all whilst being surrounded by a collaborative UK team and working in an enjoyable environment.
