Job Description: Account Executive
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Account Executive based in United Kingdom.
This is a highly technical sales role focused on helping engineering teams adopt infrastructure and developer-focused technology.
You will own opportunities from initial engagement through close, working directly with technically sophisticated customers who expect credibility and speed.
The role combines consultative selling, technical problem-solving, proof-of-concept management, and disciplined pipeline ownership.
You will work closely with Solutions Engineers while becoming a trusted presence in customer communication channels and helping remove obstacles to purchase.
Success requires the confidence to explain complex concepts simply, challenge assumptions, and be transparent when a solution is not the right fit.
You will operate with significant autonomy in a fast-moving environment where experimentation, urgency, and customer outcomes matter.
This is an opportunity for either an experienced technical AE or a technically minded professional ready to take ownership of a sales quota.
Accountabilities
- Own the sales process from qualified opportunity through successful close, with a strong focus on helping technical customers achieve their desired outcomes.
- Build trusted relationships with engineers and technical stakeholders, including actively participating in customer communication channels such as Slack.
- Manage and close inbound sales opportunities, moving prospects efficiently through the buying process.
- Lead and coordinate proof-of-concept initiatives in partnership with Solutions Engineers, ensuring technical and commercial objectives are clearly defined.
- Help customers troubleshoot questions and remove technical or commercial obstacles that could prevent a successful purchase.
- Communicate honestly and transparently, including clearly explaining when a solution is not an appropriate fit.
- Maintain a systematic approach to pipeline management, ensuring opportunities, next steps, and follow-ups are consistently tracked.
- Navigate, improve, and contribute to internal sales and go-to-market systems and processes.
- Experiment with new approaches to prospect engagement, deal execution, and GTM workflows, using results and customer feedback to continuously improve.
- Move quickly and independently, identifying what needs to be done and taking action without requiring detailed direction.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Strong organizational and pipeline-management skills, with a systematic approach to tracking opportunities and following through on commitments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
