Description

We’re Civica and we make software that helps deliver critical services for citizens all around the world. From local to state government, to education, to health and care, over 5,000 public bodies across the globe use our software to help provide critical services to over 100 million citizens.

Our aspiration is to be a GovTech champion everywhere we work around the globe, supporting the needs of citizens and those that serve them every day. Building on 21 years of continuous growth and success, we're at a pivotal point on our journey to realise that aspiration.

Why you'll love this role of Account Executive

This is an exciting opportunity to join Civica Election Services (CES), supporting public and private sector organisations across the UK. As an Account Executive, you will play a key role in driving growth through account management, business development, campaign support, and stakeholder engagement.

Working closely with senior leaders, sales teams, marketing, and customers, you'll help identify opportunities to expand services, support tender submissions, and develop strong customer relationships. You'll gain exposure to the democratic services sector and have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the delivery of elections and democratic processes across the country.

If you're commercially minded, enjoy building relationships, and have the drive and determination to help grow a successful business, this role offers excellent opportunities to develop your sales and account management career within a market-leading GovTech organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of account management strategies to achieve sales and growth targets across CES
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services
  • Research accounts, identify key stakeholders, and generate new business opportunities
  • Support targeted sales and marketing campaigns, including lead nurturing, follow-up activity, and performance reporting
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, information packs, and tender responses in line with Civica commercial policies
  • Coordinate tender and proposal activity from initial draft through to successful submission
  • Maintain accurate records within Salesforce and other sales platforms, ensuring opportunities and customer activity are tracked effectively
  • Gather and communicate customer feedback to support product development and service improvements
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and sector developments, providing market intelligence to the wider business
  • Arrange and coordinate customer meetings, account visits, and follow-up actions
  • Attend customer events, exhibitions, and conferences as required
  • Support customer satisfaction initiatives, including Net Promoter Score surveys
  • Collaborate closely with operational, support, marketing, and leadership teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes
  • Support quality assurance activities during election delivery periods and unscheduled elections
  • Leverage tools such as Copilot, Salesforce, Highspot, and Slack to improve efficiency and drive sales performance

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
