The Role

As an Account Executive, you'll turn qualified businesses into Penfold customers. You'll own the sales process from the first real conversation through to close, working directly with HR, Finance and other senior decision-makers. You'll also build and work a meaningful share of your own pipeline through outbound, rather than relying only on meetings via inbound or handed off by our Sales Development Reps (SDRs).

Your goal is simple: win trust, create conviction, and turn conversations into customers.

This is a consultative B2B sales role. It suits someone who enjoys engaging senior stakeholders, gets energy from uncovering real business needs, and is just as comfortable prospecting for their own opportunities as working ones they're handed.

What You'll Do

  • Build and manage your own pipeline through outbound (calls, email, LinkedIn), alongside SDR-sourced meetings
  • Engage directly with HR, Finance and senior business leaders
  • Run high-impact discovery meetings to understand a customer's needs, challenges and priorities
  • Explain clearly why Penfold is the right pension for their business and their people
  • Build relationships with everyone involved in the buying decision
  • Consistently hit or beat your monthly and quarterly revenue targets
  • Own the sales process from first meeting to close, including tailored demos, objection-handling on risk, regulation and switching, and building a commercial case for change
  • Partner closely with SDRs on handover quality, and with Marketing and Product on what's working in the market
  • Keep your pipeline and forecasting accurate and up to date in our customer database (CRM)

Who This Is For

You'll do well here if you enjoy selling directly to businesses and senior decision-makers, like complex trust-based conversations, want to understand a problem before pitching a solution, and are comfortable selling a regulated product where credibility matters. You should be someone who's happy owning a number and being accountable for it, and who wants to help shape how the sales function grows, not just work within it.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
