I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the full sales cycle for enterprise opportunities from first meeting through to signed contract, on deals typically running 8+ months with multiple stakeholders.
- Work primarily warm leads: inbound enquiries and SDR-booked meetings. Base level demand will be generated for you through existing, well-tested channels; you can of course supplement your own pipeline on top. Your paired SDR keeps your calendar full; you keep deals moving and close them.
- Lead discovery and demos with HR Directors, Reward and Benefits leads, CFOs and C-Suite, tailoring the commercial case to each stakeholder.
- Build and run mutual action plans that keep momentum after the demo: multi-thread across the buying group, secure and coach champions, and drive deals through procurement, legal, and board sign-off.
- Qualify rigorously using MEDDICC. Prioritise deals with a clear path to close and forecast accurately.
- Feed back on lead quality to your SDR, shape account selection, and share what's converting so the pairing compounds over time.
- Partner with Customer Success on handover so large schemes launch well and activate strongly.
- Feed structured insight from enterprise deals back to Product, Marketing and leadership: objections, competitive intel, procurement blockers.
About you:
- 5+ years of B2B closing experience, with at least 2 years selling to large or enterprise organisations (2,000+ employees).
- A track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals with long cycles, ideally including procurement and legal review, security questionnaires, and formal tender processes.
- Skilled at multi-threading: you build relationships across a buying group rather than relying on a single contact.
- Fluent in commercial and financial conversations. You can explain salary sacrifice, tax treatment and employer risk simply and credibly to a CFO.
- Disciplined operator of a structured methodology (MEDDICC, Challenger or similar) with clean CRM hygiene and reliable forecasting.
- Experience working with SDRs and a view on how to make that partnership productive.
- Motivated by both commission and mission. You want to sell something worth selling.
- Experience in employee benefits, HR tech, fleet/leasing or fintech would be advantageous
