About Us
Growing is in our nature. 50 years ago, we started life as a small family farm with a handful of people and a modest range of crops. Today, we're a global farming and food business working thousands of acres and employing thousands of people around the world to grow, process, pack and market a range of fresh produce.
Supplying our premium produce to some of the UK's leading retailers and restaurants, we are very proud of what we do and how we do it. With our impressive green credentials, we truly are committed to sustainability, demonstrating continued investment in the latest technologies to help maintain our carbon neutral footprint.
The Role
This junior-level role offers a fantastic opportunity to begin a career in the fresh produce industry, supporting the wider Non-Retail Commercial Team at Barfoots. Working with some of the UK's leading foodservice and wholesale customers, you'll gain valuable insight into the commercial operations of a fast-paced, dynamic sector.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
