A confident, people-driven Account Executive to join the OpenRoom team and play a central role in recruiting high-quality hosted buyers across our event portfolio. You'll be directly shaping the quality of our events and the value our suppliers and buyers get from them.
The Role
- Identify, qualify and secure senior hosted buyers across assigned OpenRoom events through proactive outreach and conversion
- Work to agreed weekly buyer recruitment targets and run rates, taking full ownership of delivery
- Maintain consistent outbound activity across calls, emails, LinkedIn and structured follow-up
- Build and manage a strong buyer pipeline using Salesforce, attendee lists, priority accounts and approved data sources
- Build genuine relationships with senior decision-makers, clearly communicating the OpenRoom value proposition
- Ensure confirmed buyers are relevant, senior and aligned to event audience profiles and supplier expectations
- Keep Salesforce accurate and up to date, tracking outreach, confirmations, risks and next steps
- Work closely with supplier sales, marketing, portfolio and operations teams to support event delivery
- Support events onsite where required, helping buyers manage their schedules and maximise their experience

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
