Account Executive

Location: Stretford
Salary: £28k basic (£32k OTE)
Contract: Permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week)
Working pattern: Hybrid, 3 days in the office and 2 from home

Our client is looking for a dedicated Account Executive to join their Customer Services team. You’ll deliver outstanding customer service, process sales orders and handle inbound enquiries by website, email and telephone. The core focus is turning enquiries into successful orders by giving customers accurate, timely and professional support at every stage of their journey.

The role:

  • Processing website orders accurately and efficiently
  • Producing customer quotations and following them up to turn them into confirmed orders
  • Managing customer sample requests
  • Advising customers on products, pricing, lead times, artwork requirements and stock levels
  • Working with suppliers on bespoke requests and order fulfilment
  • Handling customer claims about quality, printing or delivery, escalating complex cases where needed
  • Managing a high volume of enquiries across multiple channels, using upselling and cross-selling to build repeat business
  • Working closely with the marketing, artwork, order admin and finance teams to keep the customer journey smooth
  • Building your product and systems knowledge through regular training, supplier briefings and industry events

Skills we are looking for:

Essential

  • GCSEs or equivalent
  • Experience in a customer service or sales-focused role
  • IT literate (Microsoft 365 or equivalent)
  • Able to manage a varied, fast-paced workload

Desirable

  • A-Levels or further higher education qualifications.
  • Experience in retail, inbound sales, or the promotional products/print industry.
  • Familiarity with direct marketing or inbound sales workflows.
