An exciting opportunity has become available for a high-impact Majors Growth Account Executive (AE) to lead engagements helping our Local Government Customers in Yorkshire and surrounding regions, drive meaningful, positive change, through safe and healthy homes, for their residents. This role requires a resilient, hunter-minded sales professional who thrives in uncovering new opportunities to help customers embrace technology to empower their workforce and improve services to their residents.
The Account Executive plays a crucial role in building long-lasting relationships with Chief Executives, Chief Digital and Data Officers, Chief Information Officers, and other key business decision makers inspiring them to think differently about the opportunity presented by technology and the age of Generative AI.
As a Majors Growth AE, you will be responsible for building and developing these trusted relationships, driving close engagement with cross-functional teams, and delivering impactful business outcomes through Microsoft’s integrated cloud solutions in close collaboration with the Microsoft partner ecosystem. You will operate in a scale-driven, digitally enabled model, supported by a dedicated Digital Sales Enterprise (DSE) team and Technical Specialists (TSPs).
We are currently looking for an Account Executive to lead our Local Government customers across England, on their individual and regional digital journeys. Embracing a challenger mindset, the successful candidate will orchestrate and lead their virtual teams and close opportunities with customers that will produce transformative business. Responsibilities
Business Relationship Owner
- Define and own the strategic vision for each account with your customer priority at the heart.
- Engage with CxO-level Technology, Digital, and Business Decision Makers to drive transformation, digital skilling, and technology adoption.
- Lead with empathy, challenge conventional thinking, and align Microsoft’s value to customer priorities.
Sales Hunter & Challenger
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for technology to improve customer challenges.
- Apply challenger selling techniques to reframe customer thinking and drive urgency.
- Leverage digital signals and insights to initiate and close high-impact engagements.
Team Orchestrator
- Collaborate with DSE, Solution Engineers, and Partner ecosystems to deliver end-to-end customer value.
- Simplify orchestration by aligning with a consistent DSE model across solution areas.
- Drive clarity and accountability across virtual teams.
Operational Excellence
- Deliver consistent achievement of revenue and consumption targets.
- Execute with agility across all business levers and segments, ensuring both quarterly and annual accountability.
- Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline hygiene.
Learning Agility & Role Excellence
- Embrace continuous learning through structured skilling plans.
- Participate in peer-to-peer learning and community calls to share best practices and scale customer excellence.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Experience in selling Cloud services, with a proven track record of success.
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, develop new business, and manage territory-level opportunities.
- Experience engaging with mid-to-senior level executives and influencing strategic decisions.
- Ability to work effectively and inclusively with local and remote teams and partners.
- Technical acumen to engage in solution conversations and drive value-based outcomes.

Account Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across United Kingdom is £74,400.00 - £105,900.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
