About the role

As Account Executive, you’ll contribute to daily client account work, playing a vital role in account admin, monitoring, evaluation and analysis of campaign results. You will support client teams in the execution of responsibilities including media relations, content development, research, social media campaigns, event coordination, etc.

The day to day

  • Attend client meetings where appropriate
  • Help prepare for quarterly reviews and PR planning days to ensure everything is well organised
  • Ensure all client plans are kept up to date to reflect changes in the clients marketing plans
  • Help develop the optimum communications tool to convey the success of individual PR campaigns back to the client
  • Ensure that all client/ competitor coverage is captured and shared accordingly on day of issue
  • Update regular coverage presentations to clients as required
  • Draft press releases, gain approval and organise distribution to key journalists
  • Sell in to all media types and grow skills to confidently discuss coverage opportunities with journalists to secure the best possible results for your clients
  • Prepare information for features and issue to relevant journalists with correct photography. Ensure feature information is constantly updated
  • Draft proposals for any branded initiatives which require some additional support over and above a press release e.g. one on one briefings or mail outs
  • Draft copy for advertorials and manage the interface with the specified title
  • When required, co-ordinate logistics of organising a press briefing (e.g. sourcing and booking venue, liaising with journalists re: invites, arranging product photography & samples, shaping the presentation and pulling together press packs)
  • Meet with representatives from the various media channels to ensure industry knowledge is as up to speed as possible and to discuss potential opportunities for your clients

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
