Referment is working with a growing technology company that provides software to organisations across the charity, social-impact and public sectors.
They're looking for an Account Executive to grow their customer base by building relationships with charities, foundations, local authorities and other organisations delivering essential services.
This is a full-cycle sales role covering everything from initial outreach and relationship building through to closing new customers. The approach is highly consultative, with an emphasis on understanding what organisations are trying to achieve rather than delivering a generic sales pitch.

- Developing new customer relationships across charities, foundations and public-sector organisations.
- Owning the complete sales cycle from prospecting through to signed contract.
- Generating opportunities through thoughtful, targeted outbound activity.

- Building relationships with existing customers to generate referrals and introductions.
- Attending conferences, events and other industry gatherings to develop new relationships.
- Running events and other creative business-development initiatives.
- Understanding prospective customers' objectives and challenges.
- Delivering consultative conversations that clearly demonstrate how the company's technology can help.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience selling B2B software or technology would be particularly relevant.
Previous exposure to charities, foundations, local government, healthcare or other mission-driven organisations would be useful but isn't essential.
The role would suit a successful Account Executive, Business Development Manager or Partnerships Executive looking for a more relationship-led sales environment where the product has a clear social impact.
