Are you an experienced Commercial Account Executive who knows you’re ready for more?
You’ve built strong commercial insurance knowledge. You can manage and grow a portfolio, develop trusted client relationships, negotiate confidently with insurers and win new business.
But perhaps your next move isn’t simply another Account Executive role.
Perhaps you’re ready to step into leadership, take greater ownership and help shape and grow a commercial insurance division.
If that sounds like you, this could be the career opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
You do not need to already be a Head of Commercial or Commercial Insurance Manager. We’re looking for an ambitious, credible commercial insurance professional who has the experience and drive to make that next step.
This is also a very hands-on role.
You won’t be stepping away from clients, broking or new business. You’ll continue doing what you do best while taking increasing responsibility for the growth, performance and future development of the commercial division.
The opportunity
You’ll join an established insurance business with excellent foundations already in place.
There is a sizeable existing commercial book, a strong pipeline of new-business opportunities and a highly established HNW/Private Client division, creating significant potential for cross-selling and further commercial growth.
You’ll take ownership of the commercial portfolio, develop existing and new client relationships, work closely with insurers and actively drive new business.
Importantly, you’ll also have the opportunity to put your own stamp on the division. As the commercial business grows, you’ll recruit, mentor and develop the team around you, gradually building your responsibilities towards a true Head of Commercial-style leadership position.
It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who wants the progression into leadership without losing the hands-on commercial involvement they enjoy.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
