Account Executive – Salesforce Services

RocketCX.ai
Location: Hybrid – Tower 42, City of London
Market: Mid-Market & Enterprise
Reports to: RocketCX Owner
Commission: Uncapped

The Opportunity

RocketCX.ai is an established Salesforce System Integrator and part of the wider RocketPhone company.

Behind RocketCX is a highly experienced team of Salesforce developers, solution architects, and technical specialists who have spent years delivering significant Salesforce projects and working with major organisations.

The delivery capability, technical experience, and Salesforce knowledge already exist. Now we're investing in the commercial side of the business.

We're looking for an Account Executive – Salesforce Services who will be the first dedicated AE within RocketCX. That distinction is important.

You're not joining a brand-new consultancy trying to establish whether it can deliver Salesforce projects. You're joining an experienced Salesforce team and being given the opportunity to build the sales motion around an existing delivery capability.

You'll work directly with the RocketCX Owner, have a dedicated BDR supporting you, and take ownership of opportunities from initial conversation through discovery, solution development, proposal, and close.

Who We're Looking For

Your background will most likely be in Salesforce professional services, consulting, or technology services sales rather than traditional SaaS.

Ideally, you've previously worked commercially within a Salesforce SI or consultancy.

You understand how Salesforce projects are bought and sold.

You understand the difference between selling a software licence and uncovering a business problem that could become a £50k, £100k, or significantly larger consulting engagement.

And importantly, you know Salesforce.

You don't need to be a Solution Architect, but you should have enough Salesforce experience to hold a credible conversation with a customer about their environment, challenges, and ambitions without immediately needing someone technical beside you.

We'd particularly like to meet people who have:

  • Sold Salesforce professional services, consulting, or implementation projects.
  • Worked in a commercial role within a Salesforce SI, consultancy, or similar services organisation.
  • A deep working understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Experience selling projects and outcomes rather than simply software licences.
  • Developed opportunities from an initial conversation through to a defined project.
  • Built relationships with Salesforce customers, partners, and ideally Salesforce itself.
  • Experience navigating multiple stakeholders and complex buying processes.
  • A track record of generating their own pipeline.
  • Strong commercial judgement around qualification, project scope, and deal viability.

What You'll Do

You'll own the commercial journey. That means:

  • Build and close a pipeline of Salesforce services opportunities.
  • Work with your dedicated BDR to identify and break into target accounts.
  • Personally source opportunities rather than relying entirely on BDR-generated pipeline.
  • Build relationships throughout the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Develop relationships with Salesforce customers, Salesforce teams, and relevant partners.
  • Run discovery with senior business and technology stakeholders.
  • Understand what customers are actually trying to achieve before jumping to a solution.
  • Identify where a business challenge could become a viable Salesforce project.
  • Bring our experienced Solution Architects and technical team into opportunities at the right point.
  • Work collaboratively to shape solutions, scope projects, and develop proposals.
  • Present and negotiate commercial proposals.
  • Own opportunities through to signature.
  • Identify opportunities to turn initial projects into longer-term customer relationships.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting in Salesforce.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You'll Be Our First Dedicated AE

You will be the first dedicated Account Executive focused on building RocketCX's sales engine.

That means this role comes with more ownership than a conventional AE position. We already have the technical capability. We already have experienced developers and Solution Architects. We already have significant Salesforce experience behind the business.

What we're now looking to build is a repeatable commercial motion around that capability.

You'll be expected to notice what's working.

  • Which customers respond?
  • Which Salesforce challenges repeatedly create projects?
  • Where are we particularly strong?
  • Which propositions resonate?
  • Which projects move quickly?
  • Where do opportunities stall?
  • Which Salesforce relationships create introductions?
  • What should our BDR be targeting?
  • How should we package and position what we do?

You'll work with the RocketCX Owner to turn those learnings into a sales motion that can eventually support more AEs around you.

This isn't about spending six months building PowerPoints and processes.

Sell first. Learn. Refine. Repeat.

You + Your BDR

You'll have a dedicated BDR working alongside you. You'll operate together as a small commercial unit. You'll determine which accounts matter, which people you need to know, where projects could exist, and how you're going to break into them.

The BDR gives you additional coverage and prospecting capacity. They don't remove your responsibility for pipeline.

We want an AE who still enjoys creating business.

If you identify an account that should be talking to RocketCX, you're comfortable picking up the phone yourself, using your network, or finding another way into the organisation.

Pipeline is something you create, not something you wait for.

How We Sell

We're selling expertise, projects, and business outcomes. The quality of the conversation matters.

A customer might need to improve an existing Salesforce implementation. They might have a major transformation project ahead. They could be struggling with adoption, automation, integrations, or data. They might want to introduce AI. Or they may simply know that they're not getting enough value from the Salesforce investment they've already made.

Your job isn't to immediately sell them developers. It's to understand the problem. Ask good questions. Challenge assumptions. Understand the business impact. Recognise when there's a genuine project.

Then bring the experience of our Solution Architects and delivery team into the conversation to determine what the right solution looks like.

You Need to Be Independent

This is important. Because you're our first dedicated AE, there won't always be an established playbook telling you what happens next.

We're looking for a self-starter who can operate independently.

Someone comfortable saying:

"I've identified an opportunity. Here's why I think it matters. Here's what I'm going to do next."

You won't be left unsupported. You'll work directly with the RocketCX Owner, have your BDR alongside you, and have access to a highly experienced Salesforce technical team.

But we're hiring you for your commercial judgement. We expect you to use it.

The Environment

RocketCX combines two things that don't often come together.

You get the autonomy and influence of joining a commercial function early, without joining an inexperienced delivery business.

RocketCX is already backed by people with years of Salesforce experience, including highly experienced developers and Solution Architects who have worked on major projects and with major organisations.

And because RocketCX is part of the wider RocketPhone company, you're operating within a larger established business rather than building completely from scratch.

The team works hybrid from our offices in Tower 42 in the City of London.

Why RocketCX?

You're not being hired to occupy an existing seat.

You're being hired to make the seat successful and help us build the ones that come after it.

You'll have:

  • An established Salesforce SI and delivery capability behind you.
  • A highly experienced team of Salesforce developers and Solution Architects.
  • Experience within the business spanning major customers and significant Salesforce projects.
  • The backing of the wider RocketPhone company.
  • Direct access to the RocketCX Owner.
  • A dedicated BDR.
  • Significant autonomy over how you develop the market.
  • The ability to influence our commercial and GTM strategy.
  • A London base in Tower 42.
  • Uncapped commission.
  • The opportunity to help build the sales organisation around you as RocketCX grows.

We're looking for someone who knows Salesforce, services, and selling — and wants the opportunity to turn that experience into something much bigger.

Build pipeline. Win projects. Build relationships. Find what works. Then help us scale it.
