Overview
We are recruiting for an ambitious account executive with a genuine interest in visual arts and a desire to build a career in communications. The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of the contemporary art scene and some experience of working in arts organisations or communication agencies.
Your role
- Contribute ideas to planning, developing and implementing strategy
- Understand campaign timelines and schedules for distributing press materials
- Writing and editing releases etc
- Create client reports
- Deal with press requests
- Attend client and artist meetings where appropriate
- Help co-ordinate and run events / openings
- Send out press releases and upload listings
- Assist your team in the day to day running of their accounts, depending on their varying workloads
- Distribute and manage press cuttings
- Research
- Prepare under direction minutes and agendas
- Monitoring client expenses
- Face to face press appointments with press including freelancers
- Pitching / journalist follow-up of send outs
- Develop and maintain good working relations with the media
- Be abreast of new media developments including new publications and social media
