About The Role
Join Shopify's SMB Acquisition team as an Account Executive and drive new business opportunities within the SMB market. Engage directly with notable brands and entrepreneurs to develop their commerce strategies, helping them grow and succeed. Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with prospects to understand their unique business goals and provide tailored Shopify solutions.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to identify and target potential customers within the SMB segment.
- Lead high-volume outreach efforts through calls, emails, and social media to qualify leads.
- Manage a comprehensive sales cycle from initial contact through contract signature.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance client engagements and outcomes.
- Stay informed about the latest product features, industry trends, and market dynamics.
- Actively source and build your sales pipeline, demonstrating a proactive approach to forecasting and setting priorities.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in French required, with proficiency in English.
- Proven experience in a closing sales or Sales Development role, with a track record of exceeding sales targets in the SMB segment.
- Demonstrated passion for hunting and acquiring new business with a consultative mindset.
- Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and engage with multiple stakeholders, including C-level executives.
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and familiarity with sales engagement platforms.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building trusting relationships.
- Self-motivated and driven by results, with the tenacity to pursue leads and close deals.
- Experience in outbound prospecting and cultivating a territory for robust sales pipelines.
- Experience in New Business Sales & Sales Development, and industries like Ecommerce, Fintech, Retail, or Hospitality is a plus.
- Previous experience selling POS systems and familiarity with MEDDICC, BANT, and Challenger sales methodologies is advantageous.
