Account Executive for Strategic Retail

About the Role

Founded in 2005, Bazaarvoice’s EMEA sales team in the UK is seeking an Account Executive for Strategic Retail—an exceptional new-business hunter who thrives on challenges and embraces complexity. This role demands a self-starter, skilled in strategic account management, with the ability to drive high-value SaaS enterprise deals.

  • Territory Leadership: Drive strategic account planning and territory-wide revenue generation, rallying internal stakeholders to accelerate deal velocity.
  • End-to-End Deal Management: From prospecting and qualification to complex negotiation and close, owning every stage of the high-value enterprise deal lifecycle.
  • Opportunity Isolation: Perform deep-dive analyses of retailers’ business models to uncover hidden pain points and align solutions.
  • Value Proposition & Defense: Articulate ROI-driven narratives to influence teams from Marketing through to CMO/CTO/Vendors.

Requirements for Success

  • Sales Accountability: Minimum 3 years’ customer-facing SaaS revenue hunting (new business, not accounts payable) with a track record of exceeding quota.
  • Retail & Digital Expertise: Strong knowledge of enterprise retail sales, with experience selling to complex orgs.
  • Strategic Execution: Ability to defend technical ROI models, collaborate with functional teams, and champion data-driven compelling stories.

Nice-to-Haves

  • 3+ years selling e-commerce, MarTech, or digital marketing software, with exposure into CMO-level decision-making.
  • Global qualifiers: Proficiency in a European language or sales experience with large consumer brands.
