Overview

Are you ready to take the next step in your insurance career? Join our specialist Transport team as an Account Executive, supporting clients across the coach & bus, and haulage sectors. As part of a global leader in insurance, risk management and consulting, you’ll work with established mid‑market clients while continuing to develop your expertise within a well‑connected, high‑performing environment.

Our team brings together deep industry knowledge with a genuinely collaborative culture. You’ll be working alongside experienced professionals across multiple disciplines, including motor, property & casualty, cyber, D&O, and health & safety, giving you full cross‑class exposure within a sector that demands real technical understanding.

This is a well‑established team with a strong track record in the transport space, supported by long‑standing relationships, including key connections with lenders and introducers. The result is a consistent flow of high‑quality new business opportunities, alongside a stable and growing client base.

What truly sets this team apart is its sector specialism and infrastructure. With a dedicated in‑house Transport Claims team, you’ll be able to offer clients a seamless, expert service from placement through to claims, reinforcing your position as a trusted advisor.

We’re flexible on location, as long as you’re able to get into the Bristol office roughly once a week and join the team for monthly meetings.

How you'll make an impact

  • Manage the renewal process for your clients, gathering information and discussing terms to secure the best outcomes.
  • Maintain and grow your book of business by identifying and acting on new opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with brokers to access competitive terms that meet your clients’ objectives.
  • Visit clients as needed, showcasing your interpersonal skills and commitment to excellent service.
  • Handle account queries and credit control matters, resolving issues promptly and escalating concerns when necessary.

About You

  • Strong sector experience in transport (coach & bus and/or haulage) is highly desirable.
  • You have a strong experience of general insurance products, services, and classes of insurance, as well as knowledge of the London Market, Lloyd’s, and the wider industry.
  • Holding or working towards one of the Chartered Insurance Institute Qualifications, Cert CII, Dip CII or ACII would be an advantage. Educated to GCSE/A-Level standard or equivalent, with an intermediate knowledge of the commercial insurance industry.
  • You’re detail-oriented, with excellent administrative skills and a focus on accuracy.
  • You’re passionate about delivering outstanding client service and building lasting relationships.
  • You’re proactive and driven, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You’re eligible to work in the UK and are open to travel as required.
