Account Executive — Travel Payments & Fintech
About the Company
A fast-growing international payments business is expanding its UK operation and is looking for an Account Executive to help accelerate growth across the travel sector.
The company provides payment and revenue-protection solutions specifically designed around the needs of travel businesses, helping merchants simplify payment operations, improve cash flow, reduce risk and create a smoother customer journey.
With an established international customer base and strong product-market fit, the UK business is at an exciting stage of growth. The opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to join a business where they can build, experiment and have a genuine impact rather than simply follow an established playbook.
The Opportunity
This is a true hunter AE role.
You'll take ownership of the full sales cycle, identifying the ideal customer profile, building targeted prospect lists, creating messaging, running outbound campaigns, leading discovery and closing new business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The initial focus will be on independent and owner-operated travel businesses, particularly established travel agencies with significant card payment volumes.
You'll be joining a growing UK team where the foundations are still being built. That means you'll have the autonomy to shape your territory, test new approaches and help define what great sales looks like as the business scales.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own the full sales cycle, from ICP development and prospecting through to discovery, negotiation and close.
- Build pipeline through high-volume, structured outbound activity, including calls, email, LinkedIn and targeted sequences.
- Engage travel business owners and senior decision-makers, uncovering their payment, cost and operational challenges.
- Run consultative sales conversations and demonstrate how payment solutions can reduce costs, improve cash flow and simplify operations.
- Develop and refine messaging, sales plays and prospecting strategies as the UK operation continues to scale.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a full-cycle AE or new business sales role, ideally within payments, fintech, SaaS or financial services.
- A genuine hunter mentality with a track record of building pipeline and winning new business.
- Comfortable with structured, high-volume outbound and consistent daily sales activity.
- Strong commercial instincts with the ability to quickly understand different customers, buyer personas and pain points.
- Highly organised, resilient and adaptable, with the confidence to operate in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
