In this field-based sales position, you will be the operational force behind our territory strategy. You will leverage your deep technical credibility in Single Cell, Spatial and Next Gen Sequencing (NGS) to consult with key opinion leaders, helping them influence vital decisions on technology and product choices
This isn't just a sales role; it’s a partnership. You will be instrumental in building successful account plans that translate territory strategy into tangible business results and long-term scientific impact.
What you will be doing:
- Consultative Selling: Demonstrate technical credibility to consult with customers on technology solutions, translating scientific project needs into winning business outcomes
- Strategic Territory Management: Own the territory sales plan. You will develop and manage a business plan to meet or exceed targets, utilising rigorous planning, market knowledge, and accurate, timely forecasting
- Pipeline Excellence: Showcase your funnel management skills with strong hunting, prospecting, and closing capabilities. You will manage the entire sales process—from lead identification to pipeline management—using our CRM (Salesforce) and IT tools
- Market Insight: Develop and maintain a current, deep knowledge of genetic analysis markets, products, and buying practices to maintain our competitive edge in the UK South territory
- Presentation Mastery: Utilise your comprehensive product and application knowledge across the genetic analysis portfolio to conduct high-impact selling presentations
- Customer Advocacy: Ensure that customers are fully satisfied, representing 10x Genomics professionally, ethically, and morally at all times
- Leadership & Growth: Assist in the identification and recruitment of new sales talent as we grow our presence

Minimum Requirements:

- Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field (or equivalent knowledge and experience)
- Proven Track Record: Previous sales experience in Life Sciences, with specific experience in capital equipment sales
- Technical Depth: Extensive knowledge of Next Gen Sequencing (NGS) or Single Cell analysis
- Driving Growth: A strong desire to win business and a proven ability to establish and sustain long-term customer relationships
- Flexibility: The ability to travel as needed to be successful in this field-based role
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master’s or PhD degree
- Experience using Salesforce (SFDC)
