About the Role
We’re looking for an Account Executive to help drive Tandem’s growth across the UK social care and local authority market.
This is a commercial, full-cycle sales role for an ambitious Account Executive who enjoys building relationships, winning new business, and taking ownership of opportunities. You’ll manage the sales process from prospecting and discovery through to negotiation, close, and handover to our delivery team.
You’ll work with local authorities, social care leaders, commissioners, and care providers to understand their challenges and demonstrate how Tandem can improve outcomes and create value.
What You Will Do
- Own and deliver against a personal sales target across social care and local authorities.
- Build pipeline through outbound prospecting, inbound leads, referrals, partnerships, and events.
- Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle, from first contact to close.
- Build relationships with decision-makers across local authorities, adult social care, commissioning teams, and care providers.
- Run discovery calls, product demos, and commercial conversations tailored to customer needs.
- Navigate longer, multi-stakeholder sales processes and procurement environments.
- Work closely with Delivery Specialists to ensure a smooth customer handover.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Leadership to improve our sales approach and market positioning.
- Represent Tandem at relevant social care, public sector, and industry events.
- Maintain strong CRM, pipeline, and forecasting discipline.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
