Overview

The RMP team have an exciting opportunity and is looking for an experienced Account Handler to join their team. RMP is a market leader in providing insurance solutions for the Public Sector and Education. With over 30 years of industry experience, RMP specialises in designing tailored insurance programs that meet the unique requirements of Public Sector organisations, including Police, Fire Services, and Educational Institutions.

In this role, you will provide essential support to Account Directors and clients, ensuring smooth administration of insurance policies and delivering outstanding customer service. You’ll manage client accounts, process renewals, and handle day-to-day inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Manage a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring all needs are met.
  • Handle new business, renewals, mid-term adjustments, and cancellations.
  • Assist with presentations, reports, and renewal documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and stakeholders.
  • Liaise with underwriters to obtain quotes and negotiate terms.
  • Respond promptly to client queries with accurate advice and information.
  • Prepare and submit reports as required by management.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of client interactions and transactions.
  • Support client meetings and presentations when required.
  • Identify and assess client risks to provide tailored insurance solutions.
  • Advise on risk management strategies and suitable products.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.

About You

  • Previous insurance experience is essential, ideally in a similar role
  • Commercial insurance experience is essential, ideally within public sector
  • Professional insurance qualifications (e.g., CII) are advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of insurance products and services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to high-quality service.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Hybrid working model.
  • Occasional travel for client meetings or training.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
