Role Purpose
We are actively looking for an Account Handler to join our growing Private Clients team. This is a great office-based opportunity to join a highly successful team and develop your experience and career within High-net-worth insurance. You will be responsible for building relationships with an existing book of clients and working closely with the wider team to achieve objectives.

Key Accountabilities
- Cultivate positive relationships with current clients, guaranteeing their needs are fulfilled with outstanding service.
- Attend client meetings, take comprehensive notes, communicate with insurers, and handle renewal presentations and terms.
- Keep collection specifications updated and meticulously maintained.
- Identify and explore opportunities for existing clients, striving for the best possible outcomes. For example, recognising when a private client may benefit from a commercial policy.
- Expand your insurance knowledge and work towards acquiring your Cert CII qualification.
- Advise clients on products and solutions, considering their needs and referring found opportunities to the appropriate teams.
- Deliver on cross sales targets set and contribute to the success of the team.
- Identify clients that need a rebuilding cost survey and contents/art/jewellery valuations.
- Undertake market analysis to secure the most competitive terms.
- Ensure timely premium collection and adherence to processes and procedures.
- Adhere to FCA principles, Howden service standards, accepted market practices, and the CII Code of Ethics to protect client interests.
- Align with GDPR regulations to maintain accurate record-keeping and client communication.
- Adhere to the Bribery Act 2010, sanctions regulations, and anti-money laundering regulations, acting with transparency and responsibility.

Skills & Experience
- 2+ years’ experience
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Cert CII qualified or working towards
- Proven experience in building and nurturing lasting relationships with Private or High-Net-Worth clients through trust, empathy, and attentive service.
- A passion for delivering thoughtful, high-quality service with care.
- Ability to collaborate closely with colleagues to manage larger accounts from inception to completion.
- Tenacity and business curiosity, allowing you to seek out and capitalise on opportunities.
- A willingness to learn and adapt, as every single day will present new challenges and opportunities.
- Consultative skills, including effective questioning and active listening.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Committed to continuous professional development through eLearning and qualifications.
