Senior Corporate Account Handler
Milton Keynes/Home (Hybrid)
Up to £55,000 depending on experience
A flagship office. A growing commercial team. Excellent market relationships. And a role where your technical broking experience can genuinely take you somewhere.
If you’re an experienced Commercial Account Handler looking at your next move, this is an opportunity that offers considerably more than simply moving the same job to a different broker.
You’ll be joining the flagship Milton Keynes office of one of the UK’s leading insurance broking businesses, right in the heart of the city and close to Milton Keynes Central.
It’s a modern, well-invested office with ambitious plans for continued growth and, importantly, plenty of opportunity for good people to grow with it.
The package includes up to £55,000 depending on experience, flexible working, a company bonus scheme, 25 days’ holiday, private medical insurance, support towards professional qualifications, health and wellbeing benefits, employee discounts and access to gym membership discounts.
The opportunity
This is a Senior Account Handler position where your technical ability will be valued.
You’ll work alongside experienced Account Executives, taking responsibility for a portfolio of commercial clients and playing an important role in the broking, servicing and development of those relationships.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Day to day, you’ll be:
- Managing complex commercial renewals and mid-term adjustments
- Producing high-quality broking presentations
- Negotiating directly with insurers to achieve the right outcomes for clients
- Managing your own portfolio and building strong client relationships
- Acting as a technical point of contact for clients and colleagues
- Working closely with Account Executives on new and existing business
- Supporting and sharing your knowledge with less experienced members of the team
You’ll have access to an extensive insurer market and the backing of a much wider broking business, while still being able to build strong relationships and make your own mark locally.
Why make the move?
Because there’s somewhere for your career to go.
The business is growing, invests heavily in its people and doesn’t believe that everyone’s career has to follow the same route.
If you want to become an even stronger technical broker, there’s scope to do that.
If you want greater responsibility, there’s scope to do that.
And if longer term you want to move towards leadership or a different area of the business, you’re joining an organisation large enough to offer those opportunities.

You’ll also be working in a business that gives its people a high level of autonomy and encourages them to take ownership of their careers rather than waiting for the next rung of a rigid corporate ladder.
Who are they looking for?
You’ll already have strong commercial insurance broking experience and be comfortable handling a broad range of commercial risks.
You’ll enjoy the technical side of insurance, be confident negotiating with insurers and take pride in the quality of your work and the relationships you build with clients.
Most importantly, you’ll want to join a business that is growing rather than standing still and where your experience can open doors beyond the role you initially join to do.
