Account Manager

As our new Account Manager, you'll play a key role in developing and growing customer relationships across Manchester and the surrounding area. You'll take ownership of an existing portfolio of customers, identifying opportunities to strengthen relationships, grow existing contracts and win new business across your territory.

Working closely with our in-house technical experts and wider Cromwell teams, you'll get to understand your customers' businesses and challenges, providing tailored solutions that deliver real value. This is a great opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional who enjoys being out with customers, building relationships and having the freedom to make a difference.

Some of your key responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of existing customers across Manchester and the surrounding area.
  • Build strong, long-term customer relationships, becoming a trusted point of contact for their business.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within your territory to drive sustainable sales growth.
  • Grow and retain existing customer contracts by understanding their needs and identifying opportunities to add value.
  • Work closely with our in-house technical experts to provide tailored solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Effectively manage your territory, customer visits and sales activity to maximise opportunities and deliver against agreed targets.

What do I need to be successful in this role?

  • A proven track record within a target-driven sales or account management environment.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a customer-focused and commercially minded approach.
  • The confidence and tenacity to identify opportunities, develop new business and deliver results.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to effectively manage a field-based territory.
  • A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel regularly across Manchester and the surrounding area.
  • Experience within industrial supplies, MRO or a similar sector would be advantageous, but we're equally interested in strong sales professionals who can demonstrate the ability and appetite to learn our industry.
